You can set the Tabbed UI style for a familiar interface.
Sometimes LibreOffice can be laggy under different GPU stacks whe using the default GTK3/4 UI. Try to run it using the qt6 backend: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt6 libreoffice
To fix the black background on Writer and other apps, install the light color theme (makes white colors white under black theme)
